Alan has been involved with sound reinforcement for musical theatre and live events for over 10 years.
Recently, Alan was Head of Sound for Opera Australia with A Little Night Music starring Sigrid Thornton, and the Australian/NZ tour of My Fair Lady starring Reg Livermore and Richard E. Grant. Alan was Sound Designer for Debbie Reynolds in the 25th anniversary of Irene (Senczuk), and is currently mixing the Australian/China tour of CATS for the Really Useful Group.
Theatrical design work includes Western Australian premieres of RENT with Anthony Callea and Nikki Webster, Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Speechwriter; Oliver!, Stick It! and Guys & Dolls for John Milson, The Nutcracker, Menopause the Musical (Australian tour), What a Man’s Gotta Do (Horabin) and Spirit of the Horse at Burswood Dome.
Alan was on the sound team for Eurobeat (Glynn Nicholas), Babes in Arms, Circus Oz, Annie, The Wiz, Half a Sixpence, Chicago, Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Shneedles, Terry Pratchett’s Lords and Ladies, Brand New Me, Mack & Mabel, The World Goes 'Round and Sarah Brightman’s Harem.
Australian artist credits include mixing Gurrumul, Ben Lee, Katie Noonan, Nathan Gaunt, Ricki-Lee, Hoodoo Gurus, Ian Moss, The Waifs, You Am I and international acts including Bob Fox, Serena Ryder, The Buzzcocks and Tony Joe White. As System Engineer, he has worked with WASO, Korn, Pennywise, kd Lang, Cyndi Lauper and Simply Red, and as assistant engineer for the Red Bull Air Race Perth.
A graduate of Edith Cowan University with a Computer Science degree, he also holds Yamaha and AMEB music certifications.
